2. Fromagerie Saint-Jean
La Fromagerie Saint-Jean aka THE most stylish cheese shop in Vieux Lyon. It’s not just a cheese shop, it’s a cheese bar!

3. Mons
Mons is a renowned cheese ripener, with outlets in several areas of Lyon, as well as at Les Halles Paul Bocuse!
The shops look like chalets and are designed for tastings. Our favourite shop is the one in Ampère Victor Hugo, Mons Charité. Séverine and her team will be delighted to welcome you and let you taste their products.

4. Fromagerie Saint-Antoine
Pierre, the co-founder of Fromagerie Saint-Antoine, is the grandson of a shepherd who used to produce milk and cheese in the Pyrenees. So it’s hardly surprising that his shop is packed with exceptional cheeses made mainly by small-scale producers!
In this cheese shop, you’ll find some excellent products, as well as many other delicacies to accompany them, available in the delicatessen section of the shop. And as you can see from the photos, the shop can also put together some very nice boards full of different cheeses: perfect for an aperitif with friends… 😋

5. Fromagerie du Château
The Fromagerie du Château is located in Lyon’s 6th arrondissement, but is also present at the weekly market on Quai Saint-Antoine in the 2nd arrondissement.
This cheese shop offers excellent cheeses sourced directly from Savoie, sold individually or in the form of trays beautifully prepared by their passionate team. It’s as good as it looks!

6. Fromagerie B.O.F.
B.O.F stands for Beurre, Oeuf, and Fromage (Butter, Eggs and Cheese). The name says it all!
This cheese shop offers excellent products as well as gourmet platters made up of different cheeses carefully selected by Sophie and Matthieu to suit your tastes. What’s more, you can enjoy an aperitif on their lovely terrace in fine weather.
