Before the tour
Can we participate in this tour if we do not have booked before it and pay the tour in cash ?

Non. You must book directly on our website. Our online payment is safe, secured and SSL protected. For further information please contact us by email at contact@lyonfoodtour.com or by phone at 06 50 98 39 49.

What do we bring for this tour?

Your good humor and your appetit. We will take care of the rest.

What is your cancellation policy?

We understand that sometimes your travel plans may change due to unexpected circumstances. If this happens you have to contact us as soon as possible by email at contact@lyonfoodtour.com or by phone at 06 50 98 39 49. We will refund you if you cancel 72 hours before the scheduled date of the tour. Please note that no refund will be possible if you cancel during the last 72 hours before scheduled departure time.

What if I have dietary restrictions or food allergies? Can I participate in this tour?

Of course. When you make your booking please contact us by email at contact@lyonfoodtour.com if you have dietary restrictions. We will do our best to accommodate a number of restrictions. However please note that the substitutions depend on our artisans.

Can I book a private tour?

Yes. Our private tours are possible in English and in French. Please contact us by email at contact@lyonfoodtour.com to inquire about availability and pricing if you wish to book a private tour.

Are children allowed to participate in these tours?

Children are welcome to our tours. Please note that we will pass some time together during the tour so this may be soon boring for a child less than 12 years old. Children less than 18 years old must be accompanied by un adult and they can not participate in alcohol tasting breaks. For an original, child friendly discovery of Lyon we advise Lyon Tuk Tour.

In what language you tours are offered?

Ours tours are only led in English and in French.

Are these tours adapted to lyonnais?

Of course. It’s our challenge: to offer a new discovery of Lyon via the gastronomy. You will be amazed at everything you will discover.

During the tour
What happens if it rains?

It would be a pitty to miss out all these good things because of the rain. Our tours are held in case of rain. For the Food Tour Halles de Lyon, no worries, it is inside. For the Food Tour Vieux Lyon, we alternate between traboules and tasting breaks offering us a shelter almost throughout the tour. Think however to dress appropriately  and grab un umbrella.

Is there a lot of walking during the tours?

Ours Food Tours combine guided visit and tasting breaks. However the walking distance is 2,4 km max for the Vieux Lyon Food Tour in less than 4 hours and less than 1 km in 2 hours for the Food Tour Halles de Lyon. So do not be afraid! J

How many people are on this tour?

We limit our visits to 12 people maximum for a greater comfort and a better conviviality!

Is there enough food during your tour?

Vieux Lyon Food Tour (6 tasting breaks) : At the end of our tours, 99% of our customers are no longer hungry! We do not know if it is the same thing for big eaters but normally this tour constitutes a meal!

Halles de Lyon Paul Bocuse Food Tour (4 tasting breaks) : We will make you taste exeptional products. However the amount may be limited for some people. You will find everything you need in Les Halles de Lyon Paul Bocuse to satisfy you!

Where is the meeting point for the tour?

Vieux Lyon (Old Town) : Your guide will wait you at 2 Place Benoit Crépu 69005 Lyon.

Halles de Lyon Paul Bocuse : Your guide will wait you at the entrance of les Halles de Lyon (Lafayette entrance : 102 Cours Lafayette, 69003 Lyon).

Rajouter Food Tour Terreaux : Your guide will waiting for you front of Paul Bocuse on the Lyonnais Fresco at 2 Rue de la Martinière 69001 Lyon
