Can we come without a reservation and pay on-site?

No. Online booking is mandatory. To book, simply choose your tour and pay online. Our payment system is fully secure (SSL protection). We remain available by email at contact@lyonfoodtour.com or by phone at +33 (0)6 50 98 39 49 to answer any questions you may have.

What do we need to bring?

Your good mood and appetite 🙂 We'll take care of the rest!

We need to cancel, what should we do?

You must contact us by email as soon as possible contact@lyonfoodtour.com or by phone at 06 50 98 39 49. We will then proceed with your refund. Please note that cancellations are only possible up to 72 hours before the tours.

We have a special diet,
Can we go around?

Of course! Just let us know about your dietary restrictions in advance of the tour. We will then do our utmost to offer you an alternative. However, please note that the availability of substitute products depends on our artisans and may vary.

Can we do a private tour?

Yes. Our private tours are available in English and French. Please contact us so we can offer you a tailor-made food tour.

Are these food tours suitable for children?

Children are welcome, but we will spend time discovering, tasting, and discussing the products. This can quickly become boring for a child under 12 years old. Please note that minors must be accompanied by an adult and will not be able to participate in alcohol tastings.

In what languages are the tours conducted?

Our tours are available in English and French (Spanish for private tours only).

Is the tour suitable for locals from Lyon?

Of course! That's precisely our challenge: to help you rediscover Lyon through gastronomy. You will be amazed by everything you discover 🙂

What do we do if it rains?

It would be a shame to miss out on all these good things just because of a little rain! 🙂 All tours are held in case of rain. For the Halles de Lyon Food Tour, no worries, it is entirely indoors.

For the Old Lyon, Presqu'Île, Street, and Vegan Food Tours, we alternate between traboules (covered passageways) and tasting breaks, offering shelter for a good part of the tour! However, remember to wear appropriate clothing or bring an umbrella.

Do we walk a lot during the tours?

Food tours combine guided tours and tastings. However, walking distances range from 1 km in 2.5 hours (Halles de Lyon) to a maximum of 2.5 km in 4 hours (Presqu'île / Old Lyon), so don't worry! 🙂

How many people are we per group?

We limit our visits to a maximum of 12 people for greater comfort and a better experience!

Are there restrooms available during the tour?

Yes, you have access to restrooms at partner establishments throughout your visit.

Are we hungry at the end of the visit?

Most of the time, our towers can satisfy you if you are a «classic» eater.

Depending on the tour chosen (and therefore the duration and number of tasting breaks), it can serve either as a meal (particularly for the Old Lyon 4h, Presqu'île & Old Lyon 4h, or Street Food 3h tours), or as a good aperitif/snack (for the Vegan, Les Halles 2h30, or Old Lyon 3h tours).
